Summer TCC Dual Credit Classes

Attention Summer TCC Students:

Online registration for summer TCC classes is open from March 26th to May 10th.  Please check your MISD student email account for a blast email from the district with instructions on registering.  Once seats are filled in a class, that class will be closed.  If you would like help with registration, representatives from TCC wil be here at LRHS on April 5th and 6th to assist you.

The Glass Menagerie

The Glass Menagerie

Come out and support your talented classmates as they present The Glass Menagerie in the Lake Ridge Performing Arts Center on May 4th & May 5th at 7:00 p.m.  Tickets are $5.

Art

Lake Ridge had 12 students advance to the STATE VASE Art Competition in San Marcos this past weekend. Seven of our twelve students medaled. A big congratulations to Paige Porter, Sydney Su, Jarrett Crepeau, Olivia Crum, Gracie Howard, Ana Parra, and Brileigh Peters.

Senior Spirit Week

This week is senior week.  Seniors please show your school spirit and participate in senior spirit days.

Tuesday: Dress like a senior citizen

Wednesday: Wear the college shirt where you will attend college in the fall

Thursday: Throwback day: Dress to match your Kindergarten yearbook photo

Friday: Wear your cap and gown

Girls' Track

Please congratulate your 2018 Region 2-5A Regional Champions Lady Eagle Track and Field Team! These girls were focused this weekend bringing home a Regional Championship in the 4x100 and 4x200, something that has never been done in the history of Lake Ridge! The 4x200 also broke a Regional Meet record and state and national best time of 1:35.8! Kelly Rowe won the 100 and the 200 opens, Ariel Ford came in 2nd in the 100 alongside Kelly with both of them advancing to state! Maniah WIlliams got bronze and may get the wildcard spot in the 100 hurdles! Faith Ette won both the shot and discus and set a new school record and PR in both events! Jasmine Moore also dominated and won the long and triple jump and got 4th place in the high jump! These ladies didn't just win the regional meet for the first time in school history, but they blew last years state championship team away by over 30 points! Congratulations ladies!

Baseball

Join us to cheer on the baseball team in the Bi-District playoff game Friday, May 4th at 7:30 p.m. at Lake Ridge.

Softball

The Lady Eagles are Bi-District Champs!  We defeated Burleson 5 to 2 in game 2 of the series.  

Library

The library will be closed next week for STAAR testing.  Extend hours will resume on May 15th.
