We had a fabulous first day! We experienced a few normal first-day hiccups, but our Timberwolves are rocking and rolling!
A huge thank-you to our teachers, staff members, district team, and everyone who helped make today a success. They provided tremendous support with registration, scheduling, and helping students find their way throughout the building.
📚 Schedule Updates
Over the next few days, we will continue leveling classes. This means some students may be shifted to create smaller, more balanced class sizes. Any student whose schedule changes will receive a brand-new printed schedule. We are also continuing to fine-tune lunch times and procedures.
🍎 Lunch Reminders
Students may not receive lunch deliveries from delivery services.
Lunch visitors may begin joining students on September 8.
🚌 Bus Rider Reminders
Families should download the free SMART Tag Parent App to access their student’s bus route information.
All bus riders, including Fine Arts Academy students, should bring their SMART Tag each day. Students who forget their tag may be signed in manually when necessary, but regular use is expected. Scanning SMART Tags speeds up boarding and helps keep our buses running on time.
We will issue new SMART Tags to all bus riders this week. Students may use last year’s tag until they receive their new one.
🚗 Car Rider and Traffic Reminders
The Mansfield ISD Police Department has been coordinating with us regarding car traffic at dismissal. Please prepare for longer-than-normal wait times, as three schools in our area dismiss within 30 minutes of one another. Please pack your patience!
To help avoid the area that has historically experienced the greatest backup, families are encouraged to turn left when exiting Cross Timbers rather than traveling through the traffic circle.
Please display your car tag where staff members can easily see it.
Once your student is safely in your vehicle, take the tag down so we know your vehicle is loaded and ready to leave.
If you have not picked up your car tag, we will take your student’s name in the pickup line for the next few days.
Beginning Monday, August 17, families must display a car tag to pick up a student.
